As a developer or test analyst working for Revolution, you’ll be at the forefront of all our client innovation, ensuring our digital products function with the utmost ease and efficiency, as well giving the client a great user experience.
With a wealth of experience, moneyQuest specialises in mortgage and protection, advising thousands of customers each year. Based in Basildon, our qualified advisers are specialists in new build and remortgaging, working closely with clients to help ensure they get access to the best possible rates, and finding them the right protection product choice for their lifestyle. moneyQuest’s clients are at the forefront of everything we do, so we work flexibly around their busy lives.
I work as a mortgage and protection broker, progressing into the role from initially being a mortgage administrator and working in the Business Development team. Working in different departments of the business really helped toward my training to be an adviser along with help from the moneyQuest team and mortgage lenders themselves. What I like best about my role is the freedom to work when you need to and have the trust from your colleagues that it will get completed.
I joined Stonebridge in 2018 as a QRA – a Quality & Risk Assessor and I’ve been working as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser for moneyQuest since the beginning of 2021. Since joining I’ve had lots of support from the other advisers in the team who are always on the end of the phone to help with my queries, and from my manager who’s helped to support my learning and progression from day one. Stonebridge offer a lot of support to their advisers through induction courses to weekly webinars.
I oversee five compliance teams totalling 31 staff, the day-to-day running of the department and I’m the compliance liaison for lenders and providers. I started in October 2014 as a Business Standards Manager, moving on to managing our self-supervising firms and now the Compliance Operations Manager. In each role I’ve expanded my knowledge and confidence. Along with support and encouragement from my line managers, MSS have invested in management coaching and training which has helped me on my career path.
I started in 2007 as a Sales & Compliance Manager, which was a combination of our current Business Standards Manager and Business Development Manager roles. I was promoted to Senior BDM early in 2014, then Head of Business Development in 2015, and then Business Partnerships Director at the beginning of 2018. I’ve really enjoyed learning and developing into my role - and one of the the benefits of working for a company that’s growing is that new roles and opportunities often just appear!
Since I started at Stonebridge everyone been amazing and we’ve had so much togetherness over Workplace. In December 2018 I was offered the opportunity to progress into a similar role looking after one of our largest clients. I was then fortunate enough to be offered the position of looking after the training for all new Compliance staff on a permanent basis and I’ve also been gaining fantastic team management experience too. I can’t put into words how thankful I am for the opportunities I’ve had for growth here.
I originally joined Revolution in 2016 as a software developer. Back then we were a small team of three, with everybody working on all aspects of the code. I’m now a Lead Developer in a fantastic, diverse team of 11 including designers, testers, front and back-end developers. I don’t get to write much code anymore, instead I’m focused on ensuing that we’ve got the right processes in place and that everyone has what they need to keep making Revolution even better.
